Role Overview & Responsibilities

About The Role

Hours of work: Mon-Thurs 14:30-23:00 and Fri 12:00-18:00

Joining us as a Quality Technician (QA/QC), you’ll play an instrumental role ensuring the successful manufacture, legality and quality of our food-based diet products which are used across the world and continue to transform lives. You’ll report into the shift Quality Supervisor, within our Technical department, in a multi-skilled role performing audits and checks across all areas of our food manufacturing facility.

Performing a number of inspections throughout the production lifecycle, which includes visual and CCP (Critical Control Point) checks, as well as allergen swabbing. You’ll also perform quality checks on raw materials, packaging and 3rd party finished products. As part of your role, you’ll also;
  • Carry out routine line checks
  • Reporting and escalation of any non-conformities
  • Carry out various calibration check on items such as weighing scales and refrigerator temperature
  • Provide Quality support on product rework activity, factory trials and food safety occurrences
  • Conduct and support taste panels
  • Works closely with other teams (specifically Production, Engineering, Hygiene etc) to resolve any issues

Am I the right person for this job?
You’ll be an experienced Quality Technician with experience in the food industry that can demonstrate the ability to perform Food Safety Audits, CCP and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) checks against specific criteria. To also be successful in this role you’ll need to have at least your Level 2 in Food Hygiene and ideally Level 2 HACCP. You’ll also;
  • Be a confident communicator
  • Have the ability to complete relevant reports and understand relevant legislation, specification and regulations
  • Take an analytical and methodical approach
