Bakery Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

One of our Clients are large scale manufacturers & distributors of high-quality Asian aisan baked products. They are rated as the leading manufacturer and distributor of Asian bakery items in the UK. The family-owned bakery business in Nottingham makes hand-finished frozen sweets and savoury products.

They are looking for a hardworking and talented bakery assistants to join their team in their production factory in Nottingham, producing high quality nan breads, flat breads, sub rolls.

The right candidate will need experience working in a large scale production food operation with methodical organisational skills, energy, accuracy, attention to detail and are also mindful of the importance of food quality and health and safety.

Tasks required by this job include:

• follows set company procedure in producing bakery items.
• follows recipes as laid out - weighs ingredients/processes according to recipe.
• mixes ingredients, using hand or machine according to guidlines, to obtain the required consistency.
• rolls and cuts pastry, stretches, kneads and moulds dough, using hand or machine according to guidelines, to form bread, rolls and buns etc.
• assist with baking Asian Baked items involving different types of breads.
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required.

The production bakery assistants work Monday to Friday. You will be required to work within a team of production bakers.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £26,000.00-£27,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Nottingham, NG7 2TS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Production Bakery: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

• English (preferred)
