Registered Veterinary Nurse - 4 Day Week & Salary Up To £30,000!

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the practice in Holyhead in the county of Isle of Anglesey.

Full time permanent position working a 4-day week with a share in the Saturday rota but there is no out-of-hours requirement.

The team see a wide variety of cases of cats, dogs, and exotic animals, covering a workload that ranges from the standard vaccinations, microchipping, neutering, dental, in-house laboratory, X-ray interpretation of pet passports, pregnancy diagnosis with ultrasound, hip and elbow scoring and PAT dog assessments. To more specialist services and treatments, such as chemotherapy, echocardiograms, ECG, video endoscope and bronchoscope for non-invasive investigations and advanced surgeries.

The equipment is extensive and includes a modern IDEXX in-house laboratory (catalyst and procyte), digital AGFA CR X-ray, colour Doppler ultrasound with ECG, tonopen, and slit lamp.

The practice have a fantastic team comprises 2 full-time vets, with a 3rd vet due to start in autumn, 2.5 veterinary nursing and reception staff, and their Clinical Director who holds a PGCertSAS. The principal vet has a particular interest in small animal surgery and orthopaedics (regularly carrying out TTAs) and holds a PGCertSAS also.

Salary and benefits:

Salary up to £30,000 DOE plus benefits

6.6 weeks annual leave
