Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job title: Shopkeeper

The duties of post: Developing a routine for opening and closing.Responsible for the overall Supervision and store operations. Ensuring efficient functioning of the shop. Ability to learn and share the expertise of products and trends to fit customer’s needs. Complying with regulations on store operations Managing and overseeing shop operations. Managing the sales floor and providing maximum profitability. Controlling Inventory to ensure sufficient stock, daily weekly counts, rotated and changed by season, shop specials or sales. Deal with vendors. Rotating stock and managing surpluses. Ordering stock and making sure items are on the shelves and displayed attractively. Awareness of trends in the retail market.

Salary: £26,000 per year

Working Hours: 39 hours per week

The skill, experience and qualifications required for each post: Excellent Customer Service Skills. Strong knowledge of retail concepts and of retail industry. Kind, helpful and considerate towards customersQuick learner. Driven, energetic and target oriented. Always keeping a firm eye on costs and profitability and ensuing continuous improvement where possible. Positive, vibrant, and ready to take on anything.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
