Labourer - CMP Products
Role Overview & Responsibilities
As a Labourer your role will be multi-functional within the Manufacturing department. This will incorporate barman duties, general labouring duties and the use of a forklift truck.

British Engines Group Company, CMP Products, is a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of cable glands, cable cleats and cable accessories. CMP manufactures its products from three facilities based in Cramlington, Northumberland, and has a global distribution network, supported by ten offices spread across six continents from Houston, USA, to Busan in South Korea.
What you’ll be doing
- Unloading bar deliveries
- Controlling the weigh bridge operation
- Issue material for Production
- Control of swarf operations
- Complete general labouring duties
- Complete stock counts
- Complete IFS transactions
- Working in a safe manner; driving positive behaviour and leading by example with regard to the company’s health, safety and environmental policies
- Carrying out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected
Who we are looking for
To apply, you must have a valid driving and forklift truck licence, you must also be electric pallet truck trained with the ability to work at heights.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential as is being self-motivated with enthusiasm for the role.
This position will be on a full time, permanent basis. Working hours are an average of 37.5 hours per week on a shift rotation, which involves 10 x 12 hour shifts over a 21-day cycle with 11 days off.
