Role Overview & Responsibilities

THE ROLE

To represent the Regional and Hub operations in the development of commercial initiatives and to act as a conduit between the two departments. This will ensure there is an operational focus to deliver the initiatives and to help develop the process to allow smooth roll out and ongoing management of these initiatives. This will include the Partner ready project, Import Terminal Charge (ITC) development & reporting and supporting the regional roll out of e-freight.

DUTIES

  • Represent the operational teams in the development of the commercial initiatives and in the planning of their implementation.
  • Take ownership of the review of the process’ required to allow the carriage of freight from carriers from outside of the group.
  • Develop solutions that are scalable
    • Support the development of the process
    • Improve the communications internally and externally
    • Review performance and improve processes as required
  • Lead the operational workstream to deliver the Partner Ready transformation initiative.
  • Play a key role in the development of the process to deliver the changes required to support the Partner ready initiative.
  • Enable the delivery of the initiatives without impeding the overall operational delivery.
  • Retain the Network NFD performance on all lanes associated with the delivery of these initiatives.
  • Be accountable to ensure that the delivery of these initiatives is done within the operational compliance and security guidelines. Maintain all standards of governance throughout the process.
  • Work closely with the commercial teams and any third parties that may be involved including GHAs, OPCOs and Partner Airlines.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or with equivalent relevant experience.

Experience

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and legislative procedures particularly Customs and Aviation Security
  • Thorough understanding of cargo business with knowledge of airline and cargo operating procedures
  • Previous experience in management or supervisory functions, operational experience advantageous
  • Knowledge gained from a logistic environment is essential
