Role Overview & Responsibilities

Are you a passionate and creative cook? would you enjoy devising and delivering a simple yet creative high quality delicious menu of hot and cold meals/snacks?

We are looking for a dynamic cook to join our small and enthusiastic team at Bread and Butties in Northenden.

Ideally you should have some experience of working in a commercial kitchen, be a good communicator, flexible, focussed and self motivated.

The role will include :

-Managing delicious menus of hot and cold meals/snacks.

-Preparing and delivering meals of the highest quality possible and well presented.

-Providing for special dietary requirements where necessary and any special preferences of the customer

-Maintaining a clean, sanitised and hygienic kitchen environment in accordance with food safety and hygiene protocols.

-Ordering food and consumables, re stocking fridges and freezers as necessary.

-Maintaining a stock record

-Properly storing food items at appropriate temperatures

-Monitoring and training team members

Skills for success:

-Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene protocols

-Experience in cooking in a commercial kitchen/ environment

-Ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands

-Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team

You would receive 28 days paid annual leave per year.

The successful candidate will be required to work 5 days a week including Saturdays and the post is available to start as soon as possible.
