Pharmacy Dispenser / Technician

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We have a vacancy for a Pharmacy Dispenser/Technician to join our team at Borders Pharmacy, Galashiels We are an established and growing independent Pharmacy that focuses on customer care and satisfaction. We have recently moved into our brand new purpose built Pharmacy-the first of it's kind in the Borders.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced dispenser or technician to join our team.

There will be opportunity for further professional development.

Days/Hours Negotiable

Excellent salary depending on experience

Your main duties will include:

· Maintain an accurate, efficient and professional dispensing experience for all of our customers.

· Support our pharmacist in achieving excellence in our customer experience and meeting all legal requirements.

· Dispensing repeat and acute medication.

· Liaising with Pharmacist and other members of the Pharmacy team

· Dealing with compliance aids

· Give healthcare advice

· Maintaining Pharmacy stock levels

Essential skills and requirement:

· Minimum NVQ2 qualification

· Excellent communication and listening skills.

· Able to comply fully and understand the importance of customer confidentiality.

· Good organisational skills, excellent time management skills and able to work to strict deadlines and multitask.

· Able to build relationships with key partners (GP surgeries, care/nursing homes etc.)

· A willingness to learn and apply new skills.
