Joe is registered blind however that does not hold him back. He loves the outdoors and enjoys walking over rough terrain, cycling and kayaking, it is important for his emotional and physical wellbeing. As a support worker on Joe’s team you will be responsible for planning and engaging in these activities with Joe. You will need to be self motivated but also recognise that some downtime is a good thing and support Joe to relax and enjoy some chill time. Joe lives in his own home in Plymouth with a very well established team, he has full support around his daily lifestyle and managing his home. Joe’s family are close by and they are very important to him, it is essential you work to maintain and support these relationships.
