CAD Design Technician

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Bespoke Stairlifts is a manufacturer/distributor of stairlift products based in West Yorkshire. Working from our site in Huddersfield, the role is responsible for the development of high quality, design drawings using Solidworks software, working closely with the Sales and Production departments.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative CAD Technician looking to secure a position within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate must be conscientious about the work they produce and possess good attention to detail.

With a minimum of 1 years experience working in a CAD Design environment, essentially using Solidworks software; experience within the stairlift industry would be an advantage although not essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

Ability to interpret survey data to create an accurate CAD model of custom staircases.

Develop custom drawings for a high standard rail with optimum fit.

Create and develop fully detailed drawings for both customer and Production use, ensuring the drawings and specification sheets are accurate to dimensions.

Ensure that safety and environmental compliance is adhered to within the design.

Skills/Qualifications

With a minimum of 1+ years experience in 3D CAD Design, essentially with experience of using Solidworks software.

Experience in Mechanical Engineering Design, or a recognised qualification in CAD design essential.

Graduates with engineering design qualifications and experience of working in Solidworks or AutoCAD software, are welcome to apply.

Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.

Ability to adapt and able to work under pressure.
