Harvest Supervisor
Role Overview & Responsibilities
· Harvest team day to day management and conduct.
· Control of fruit pickers to pick crops efficiently:
· To drive productivity through motivation; target setting; good organisation; to keep pickers informed of progress relative to target and each picker performance
· Training pickers on the field by showing them the best method of picking
· Packaging control on the field.
· Communicate with Harvest manager, farm manager or growing team regarding any crop concerns
· Picking equipment control on the field: buckets, trolleys etc.
· Keep working area clean and tidy
· Harvest interval checks, making sure picking is clear from any sprays
· Blue plaster and Hair nets control
· Adherence to all site QA procedure: -Glass.
· Coordinate, organise, drive, and control any husbandry operations as directed by the farm manager.
Continuous vigilance for best working practice about HACCP’s, COSHH and Health & Safety in all operations
· Completion of all harvest administration
· Daily checks: glass, HI, absences and communicate with Harvest manager
· Handsets data
· Harvest record and harvest check sheets
· Quality control record
· Load manifest & delivery note when required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: From £30,000.00 per year
