Role Overview & Responsibilities

Bedale Boarding Kennels and Cattery is seeking 1 person to assist with caring for dogs and cats, during the animals stay in the boarding kennels.

Applicants must have appropriate Level 3 Certificate in Animal Management.

Position is for a Full time Residential Kennel Assistant.

Employee is required to live "On-site" in a studio cottage on the farm, no accompanying pets are permitted. Employee must, speak fluent English and be able to write clearly in English, as they may be looking after customers, when they deliver, or collect their pets from the kennels. Also they must be able to take clear messages from current and prospective customers on the telephone.

Duties include daily walking of dogs, feeding both cats and dogs, cleaning accommodation runs and general housekeeping duties around the kennels. No previous experience necessary as full training will be provided. I.T. literacy helpful, but not essential.

Pay according to national rates and experience.

Bedale is 20 miles south of Darlington, 30 miles north east of Harrogate and 40 miles north west of York.

The nearest railway station is at the market town of Northallerton, which is 9 miles away.
