Clerk of Works

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Clerk of Works (part-time) needed for an immediate start. The project is a school refurbishment in Newquay. The position is for 2 full days a week onsite. These days can be flexible to fit into any other commitments you have.

The rate is £300 per day

Duties would include:

Inspection of all works to ensure they comply with contractors proposals, Client technical briefs and design drawing

Attending site meetings as required

Recording defective work and liaising with contractors to resolve issues

Carrying out final snagging of works

Completing site inspection reports weekly

Monitoring site progress against the construction programme

Assisting in checking valuations against works complete

Monitoring H&S onsite

A CSCS card is essential and must be a member of the ICWCI or be willing to apply for membership. Previous experience as a Clerk of Works is not essential if you have experience in a similar role inspecting quality in construction.
