Quality Production Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

The Vertical Line is one of Barley Chalu's newest plants. It produces leading architectural powder-coated products within its industry. Our high standards are achieved through compliance and strict adherence to our testing and control procedures in operation throughout the business. Barley Chalu is looking for a candidate who wants to come on board with our inspection team to help continue and lead our high-quality standards.

This candidate has the opportunity to progress within our company and to develop skills as an individual. It would involve some basic running of the plant i.e. unloading from the line and helping with the production process. However, the aim of this role would be to keep a close eye, with help from the Lab, on the quality of the products going through the process. Full training would be given on all aspects of this role.

Qualification:

• No specific qualifications are required.
• Previous experience with quality management (optional).
• Previous experience in a production environment (optional).

Main duties include:

- Product testing with reference to quality operating procedures.

- Quality control of processed material and raising issues with the production manager.

- Unloading work from the Vertical line.

Salary is dependent on performance and experience. Whilst the starting salary starts at £10.42/h we will want to increase this once the candidate is fully trained. The standard probation period is 3 months however, if the candidate was to show improvements quicker then we are happy to shorten this time.

Hours: 40+. Any hours worked over 40 will be paid at an overtime rate.

Paid Weekly.
