Assistant Farm Manager

Role Overview & Responsibilities

A vacancy has arisen for the above role to work on our Whitford Lodge Farm.

Duties will include:

• Work to high bird welfare standards in line with ACP and IPPC
• Attend to the birds at least 3 times per day and check for stress
• Ensure water/feed and ventilation is available
• Order feed, gas and farm supplies as required
• Keep all areas of the farm clean and tidy
• Vaccinate/medicate birds as necessary
• Be on site at all times of catching
• Cover for the Farm Manager

Applicants should have/be:

• NVQ Level 2 and 3
• Poultry Welfare Training
• Manual Handling Training
• Health & Safety Awareness Training
• Previous experience
• Flexible with hours of work

Salary £25,506, day shift, 45 hrs a week
