Packing Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Avanti Personnel are currently working with a dynamic, service-orientated manufacturer who supply performance joinery products to the UK construction industry. Our client is looking for experienced Packing Operatives at their site in Durham, the roles have become available due to expansion within the business.

Working in a busy production environment, you will work as part of a team to manufacture joinery elements from raw materials to finished goods.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out final quality checks on the finished product
• Wrapping and palletising product ready for dispatch
• Fulfil individual and departmental hourly/daily/weekly production targets
• Use the electronic scanning system to record production progress
• Comply with quality standards always
• Always carry out tasks in line with health and safety requirements
• Carry out general housekeeping to ensure your workstation is clean, tidy and free from hazards
• Proactively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Undertake additional duties as requested by Team Lead

• Previous quality control and packing experience
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good punctuality, time management and task management skills
• The ability to work individually with minimum supervision and as part of a team

Working hours are 06:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday and Friday is optional overtime.
