HGV Class 1 Driver

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking to hire an HGV driver for a full time, permanent position, based out of our North Shields site:

The Role:

• Multi-drop across the UK and Ireland
• Tail-lift work on curtain-sided trailers
• Familiar routes to the same customers each week
• nights out each week will be required @ £30

The candidate will need:

• Valid class 1 licence for over 3 years
• A great attitude with customers, building a rapport as part of our first line of customer service.
• To work safely within the Health and safety environmental guidelines, and ensure all vehicle checks are carried out prior to commencement of work
• To work within all legal parameters of drivers hours and working time directive legislation, being fully compliant with tachograph and break requirements

Benefits:

• £40,000 starting wage
• 5 day equivalent, with regular shift pattern
• Day shift driving
• 25 days holiday, plus 8 days Bank Holiday
