Lighting Designer (Interim)

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job purpose: To provide lighting designs to field sales personnel and wholesalers on behalf of our UK Trade business.

Duties:

Analyse and interpret the design brief and produce lighting solutions designed to meet the requirements specified.

Identify significant differences between the specifications provided and explain the reasons for proposed alternatives.

Work with the Project Team to ensure the design is tracked from request, receipt, through return and on-going contact to achieve a successful result (sales order).

Consult appropriate legislation and other documents prior to commencing the design,

Upon completion of internally designed projects or receipt of externally designed projects, verify that the design meets the specification provided at the outset and verify that the requirements of customers and clients and that all content is calculated correctly in the format requested.

Provide information in respect of the lighting legend of all projects to the quotations department and customer services and, in all cases, the appropriate Sales Director in order that a quotation can be undertaken for the recipient customer and to both monitor and track the value of projects being designed.

Experience:

Experience of using lighting design software such as Relux, Dialux or AutoCAD.

Strong experience of creating and delivering lighting solutions.

Strong technical product and application knowledge.

Excellent presentation skills and highly computer literate.
