Housekeeper

Role Overview & Responsibilities

As Housekeeper you will cover a range of different aspects from working in the kitchen, completing domestic tasks and undertaking laundry duties. You will work as part of a team on a rolling rota across 7 days per week.

Job Purpose

To Maintain High Standards of Cleanliness whilst adhering to the policies and procedures set out within the home.

· To make sure that there is adequate supply of Laundry, including bedding and bathing facilities.

To ensure kitchen duties are carried out in a timely manner ensuring the highest standards of service are maintained at all times.

Skills, knowledge and qualifications

Required:

Team Player

• Good communication skills
• Satisfactory DBS check and check against the ISA List (where applicable)
• High standards of Cleaning, catering and Laundering

Desired:

Previous experience working in a care home / hotel environment. Knowledge of Laundering, Food Standards and COSHH.

Reporting to: Head housekeeper

Main responsibilities

• Cleaning of the home in line with policies and procedures.
• Maintain a active laundry environment, washing, drying and ironing of clothes and sheets.
• Complete food preparation in line with food hygiene standards.
• Work in line with COSHH requirements.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24 per week

Salary: £10.41 per hour
