Warehouse Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Ansett UK is hiring a Warehouse Operative to join our team.

Under the general supervision of the Operations / Warehouse Manager the Warehouse Operative will pick, pack and ship parts, preparing the paperwork and liaising with the freight forwarder until item shipped. Perform other warehouse duties as determined by Manager.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Pick and pack orders.
• Return stock to pick locations and storage areas.
• Report on any errors or shortages
• Stocktake when required.
• Ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and to set deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and tidy environment.
• Cover for goods inwards.
• Work with other departments as required.
• Operate a forklift, pallet truck and weigh scales as required.
• Assist with the achievement of Warehouse Department targets.
• Minimize Warehouse Department costs and wastage.
• Adhere to all company and client recycling policies.

Training on Warehouse system, Quantum provided.

Requirements

• Ability to lift to 22kg.
• The job requires technicians to be on their feet for the entire shift.
• Knowledge is equivalent to GCSE level with the ability to perform basic mathematical tasks.
• Working knowledge of personal computers.
• Problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good communication, including basic written and spoken English.
• Must have a positive attitude, work well in a team environment and be able to manage daily workflow.
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines as well as General Data Protection Regulations.
• Work requires six months – a year of general warehouse experience.
• Experience with material handling equipment, forklift licence an advantage preferred.

Hours: 8:30 - 5:00 pm - Monday – Friday

Ability to cover these duties, outside these hours on a roster basis a mandatory requirement.

OT may be available periodically for specific projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £10.00-£13.00 per hour
