Role Overview & Responsibilities

We have an opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Commercial Property Team in our Edinburgh office.


The team’s expertise extends to a range of property development projects including long-term regeneration work, town centre redevelopment, and stand-alone property developments across the housing, retail, leisure, energy, manufacturing, and education sectors. Whatever support our clients need, from planning permission and permitted development to environmental policy and commercial leases, our expert Solicitors can help.

Our Commercial Property clients include Crown Estate Scotland, Scotmid, Transport Scotland, Scottish Water, Apex Hotels Limited, Edinburgh Airport, Buccluech Property, and Places for People to name a few!

You will be responsible for

  • Supporting the team on a range of general commercial property sale and purchase transactions
  • Supporting the team in producing and managing client reports
  • Dealing with lease management work acting for both landlords and tenants in commercial property
  • Providing property support for corporate acquisitions and tenders
  • Assisting in commercial purchase and sale transactions including portfolio transactions and cross-border transactions

The successful candidate must have an interest in pursuing a long-term career as a Paralegal in this area. You must have the ability to meet agreed fee earning targets and have an understanding of key financial issues relevant to your role.

This role will be working closely with our team of Commercial Property Solicitors who have a broad range of skills that help make a positive environmental impact, transforming areas of the old heartland of Scotland’s heavy industries into award-winning places that are tailor made for a high quality of life.

You will also benefit from being a part of our Paralegal Academy, which regularly brings together all Paralegals in the firm as a group to recognise the major contribution Paralegals make to the firm.
