Sewing Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a sewing assistant to join our busy and fast growing sewing business.

At Alice & Harry LTD pride ourselves on the quality of handmade clothing.

Having started the business in 2015 producing tutus and leggings, we have expanded to our own premises, with the successes of being featured in Vogue and well known celebrities books (Stacey Solomon’s tap to tidy). We are lucky enough to be able to design and print our own fabrics to ensure our clothing is not replicated on the high street.

The successful applicant will fulfil duties such as

• helping ensure sewing drawers are fully stocked
• Cutting patterns ready for the seamstresses to sew
• Helping to pack orders
• General tidying of the office
• Helping with social media
• Potential to train as a seamstress on our industrial machines

Key requirements include someone who is used to, and happy working in a busy and sometimes pressured environment.

Being around fabric means good hygiene is extremely important.

You must be able to work independently and part of a team.

Be punctual and dependant.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16 per week

Salary: From £10.41 per hour
