Despatch Operator

We are now recruiting for an experienced Despatch Operator to work out of our Stockyard in Huntingdon.

The role exists to carry out the day to day activities associated with a busy external storage yard. This includes receiving, counting and locating stock using a forklift truck or combi-lift truck. Picking and preparing customer orders accurately ensuring that high levels of quality are maintained. Loading vehicles in drop sequences whilst complying with stringent health and safety requirements.

Main Responsibilities

• Work safely and challenge unsafe practices
• Plan the day to optimise output levels
• Pick pipe products in-line with customer expectations
• Communicate effectively
• Drive a counterbalance forklift and side-loader to a high standard
• Maintain stock accuracy by picking accurately and by carrying out PI counts
• Flexibility to work overtime to fulfil customer requirements

Shift Pattern. Monday - Friday 6:00-14:00 and 14:00-18:00

£29,538.94 per annum inc shift allowance

Attendance Bonus: £300 per quarter

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months forklift experience with a valid licence
• Evidence of picking accuracy
