Role Overview & Responsibilities

Duties Include:

ABP is one of Europe`s leading privately owned food processors. The group operates across many businesses, spanning Ireland, the UK and Continental Europe and consist of 4 separate divisions; ABP Beef, ABP Proteins, ABP Renewables and ABP Pet Foods. ABP have recently acquired Janan Meat Ltd which is one of Europe`s leading providers of British quality lamb and mutton who supply to customers across the UK, EU, Canada UAE, Middle East and beyond.

We are currently recruiting for Hygiene Operatives based at our Kingswinford site.

You will also be required to adhere to and uphold all health and safety guidelines and work in accordance with food hygiene regulations and Company policies and procedures.

This role requires flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours when required.

Working in a small team reporting to the Hygiene Manager you will :-

• Carry out scheduled daily cleaning tasks
• Clean processing equipment and production lines using the correct chemicals to meet required standards, measured through testing of samples
• Deep clean production areas
• Carry out post cleaning checks to make sure everything has been completed properly
• Ensure that all paperwork is correctly completed
• Making sure that everything you do complies with company procedures for Health & Safety and Hygiene
• Ensure that your cleaning and personal protective equipment are functioning correctly at all times
• Report any incidents or environmental concerns to your line manager

Personal Qualities

Good communication skills as well as being able to be part of a team .
Good presentable appearance.
Able to work on own as well as part of a team.
Experience working in a similar environment desirable but full training will be given to suitable candidates.

Hours of work:

The position will be Monday to Friday working hours are 8 hours per shift, flexibility is required with working hours. Start time 5:30 pm.
