Salary: £55,000+ (DOE)

Overview
2fawcett have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Transport and Warehouse to take full ownership of both the warehouse and the transport activity within the business, managing the Transport Manager and Warehouse Manager, and reporting directly into the Managing Director, for a company in Coventry on a full time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities of the Head of Transport and Warehouse

• Ensure an effective liaison between the Warehouse and Transport team
• Develop Warehouse and Transport operations by analysing process workflow and implementing changes
• Managing inventory across three sites
• Organise, manage, and motivate a team of drivers & warehouse operatives
• Planning and analysing budgets and expenditures
• Enforcing industry laws, regulations, and company policies
• Resolving complaints and issues regarding the supply chain
• Oversee a busy inbound and outbound process function, including receipt, movement, picking and loading of products required
• Ensure the correct use of a warehouse management system
• Conduct a perpetual stock control process ensuring stock levels are accurate
• Ensure H&S requirements are met within the operation function, reporting feedback, and following procedures where required
• Managing a fleet of vehicles & forklifts, liaising with maintenance suppliers to oversee planned and ad hoc maintenance of all vehicles, machinery, and equipment
• Monitor and review driver tachograph analysis
• Ensure a clean, organised, and well-maintained warehouse facility & fleet of vehicles

Essential Requirements of the Head of Transport and Warehouse

• Substantive knowledge of Warehouse and Transport/Logistics operations
• Experience of working with warehouse management systems
• Experience of route planning and logistics management
• Willing to be hands on if required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From £55,000.00 per year
