Role Overview & Responsibilities

• Undertakes feasibility study to design software solutions
• Writes and codes individual programs according to specifications
• Providing development support of jump simulation environment including development of new exchange specific algorithms and general infrastructure support
• Meeting with clients to determine requirements
• Develops user interfaces
• Tests and corrects software programs
• Implements and evaluates the software
• Learning end to end, all aspects of the existing proprietary jump's trading platform and related technology
• Plan and maintenance database structures
• Writes operational documentation and provides subsequent support and training for the user
• Working with clients to define the scope of a project
• Planning timescales and the resources needed
• Clarifying a client's system specifications, understanding their work practices and the nature of their business using CRM systems
• Travelling to customer sites
• Liaising with staff at all levels of a client organization
• Defining software, hardware and network requirements
• Analyzing IT requirements within company and giving independent and objective advice on the use of IT
• Actively participate in the troubleshooting of production environment issues
• Defining and developing tools to enhance jump simulation platform
• Actively monitoring performance of the system
• In-depth experience of working on multi-threaded applications
• Excellent knowledge of networks and operating systems
• Exposure to exchange protocols is a plus
• Meeting with clients to determine requirements
• Working with clients to define the scope of a project

Salary: £26,500 - £36000 per annum
