Written by admin on
Some members of Parliament have called on government to create a post graduate funding programme. When debating the budget estimates for the ministry of Tertiary Education, Research, Science and Technology yesterday, Member of Parliament for Nkange, Dr. Never Tshabang said this type of funding could help relief learners from the struggles of having to finance themselves to progress to master’s degree and PhD level. He said this while also lobbying for a research funding for government tertiary institutions. On his part, Dr. Kesitegile Gobotswang, Member of Parliament for Sefhare/Ramokgonami said sponsoring learners to postgraduate studies will be an invaluable investment for government as they will be better skilled not only for the job market, but also for employment creation.
