CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY BOTSWANA SEES REDUCED FLIGHTS OVER BOTSWANA SKIES

Civil Aviation Authority Botswana, CAAB says air traffic activity has reduced by 75 percent in the last quarter of 2020.
CAAB Communications Manager Modipe Nkwe said this is despite the quarter having been the most active time of the year, shortly after restrictions on air movement were lifted.
He added that the sharp decline in air traffic has negatively affected their revenue.
Nkwe says the decline is because of the COVID-19 pandemic which continues to affect movement, as currently there isn’t much activity on the skies.
The Communications manager however says the industry is hopeful things will improve with the promise of a vaccine roll out.
