MP HIKUAMA CALLS ON MINISTER OF DEFENSE TO UPDATE THE NATION ON THE RECENT KILLINGS AT SEDUDU

Member of Parliament for Ngami, Caterpillar Hikuama has urged the Minister of Defence, Justice and Security, Kagiso Mmusi to update the nation on an incident which involved the Botswana Defence Force a week ago, in which four Namibians were killed in the Sedudu area near the Chobe River.
Hikuama called for an update when concluding his debate on the State of the Nation Address today in Parliament. YaronaFM news had the opportunity to speak to him on the sidelines of parliament proceedings.He highlighted that it is vital for the Minister to update the nation due to the sensitivity of the matter, and state Botswana’s position.
He emphasised that there was there was need to establish the facts on what transpired on the night of the incident.
The Botswana Defence Force on Monday released a statement to the effect that it had killed four poachers who were believed to be part of a syndicate of poachers responsible for cross border organised poaching.
