Written by on October 16, 2020

President Mokgweetsi Masisi says the COVID19 pandemic has slowed the country’s implementation of bi–lateral agreements with Germany.

Masisi said before most countries around the world imposed lockdowns and closed borders, to curb the spread of COVID19, officials from the two countries were supposed to meet and tied down a number of bi – lateral agreements on trade, education and how to grow the knowledge based economy in the country.

Botswana and Germany established diplomatic relations in 1966 and the two countries have cooperated on a number of areas which include among others Trade and Investment, Human Resources Development, Environment, Natural Resources and Tourism.
