Written by on October 9, 2020

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has announced that movement of all cloven hoofed animals and their fresh products through and out of the Nxamasere extension area, zone 2B in the Okavango Sub District is suspended until further notice due to a suspected outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease in the area.

A statement coming from the Director of Veterinary Services, Dr Letlhogile Modisa indicates that this comes after reports from veterinary officers sighting cattle that were showing suspicious signs during routine disease surveillance.
