Local COVID-19 cases have continued to rise with the latest number being 117 new cases bringing the total local Covid-19 cases to 3102, with 2367 active cases, while recoveries and deaths remain at 834 and 18 respectively.
Deputy Coordinator of the Covid-19 Task Force team Professor Mosepele Mosepele in a briefing yesterday said Gaborone remains the epicenter in the country.
He further said cases found in schools have been linked to the home, primarily parents. He said the contact tracing further leads to the workplace.
Mosepele said working in shifts in both private and public workplaces reduces the likelihood of there being a total shutdown should one employee test positive. He said in this instance, only people working during the affected shift will need to be isolated.
