GOVERNMENT COMPLETES DRAFT LANGUAGE POLICY TO GUIDE SCHOOL CURRICULUM

Government has completed a draft School Language Policy which will guide the implementation of indigenous languages in the school curriculum.
Yesterday, the Minister of Basic Education, Fidelis Molao told Parliament that government is committed to introducing indigenous languages in schools and that consultations are expected to be completed by the end of this year before finalizing the language policy.
Speaking on the sidelines of Parliament proceedings, Molao told Yarona FM news that progress has been made in preparing some of the indigenous languages for consideration once all the processes have been followed.
