PRINCESS MARINA HOSPITAL REGISTERS 38 CASES IN A WEEK AS COVID19 SURGES AMONG HEALTHCARE GIVERS

Princess Marina hospital is yet again at the center of a surge in COVID-19 cases amongst frontline workers.
The deputy coordinator of the task force team Professor Mosepele Mosepele yesterday said that the hospital has recorded at least 38 cases this week, 22 of which are of staff members while 16 are patients.
Professor Mosepele said all 4 hospitals in Gaborone have taken a hit from the virus, but Marina was most affected. The hospital previously recorded 31 positive cases of health workers.
Local cases in Botswana have gone up by 114 between September 7th & 8th, with 1 new death. The disease has claimed 10 lives locally out of a total of 1153 cases over all, with 546 recoveries and 597 active cases.
