The Alliance for Progressives has said that stern action should be taken against students captured in a video which was circulating on social media this week where students from Moshupa Senior Secondary School attacked and beat up one of their teachers.
The opposition party expressed its disappointment at the rising cases of indiscipline in schools through a statement released by the party Secretary General, Dr Phenyo Butale. The statement also cited a video of another incident of Lotsane Senior School in which some students were bullying another student.
The party says it worth transforming the economy to assure the nation of decent jobs and wages, as well as transforming the education sector to add value to it so that students appreciate its value instead of getting frustrated and behaving in a negative manner. It further says it is difficult to keep students focused while their results are inconsequential to their futures.
