Member of Parliament for Selebi Phikwe West, Dithapelo Keorapetse has condemned the current appointment of the Court of Appeal judges as it’s not based on merit but seems to be based on friendship, dislike or prejudice.
He told Parliament this morning that there is a believe that the court of appeal is a privatized public institution which operates secretively and singularly run by its Judge President who decides who is and who is not qualified to be a judge.
Keorapetse further said there is no known appointment criteria and there are no advertisements for vacancies.
