Member of Parliament for Tonota, Pono Moatlhodi has said that it was important for him to table yesterday’s motion seeking national prayers during the month of September to help the country deal with the COVID19 pandemic.
He told YaronaFM news that it is evident that prayers have previously helped the country to navigate through past crises, like droughts or lack of rains, or HIV/AIDS.
Moatlhodi said he is confident that as it has happened before, national prayers will help the country to deal with the Coronavirus pandemic while also ensuring strict adherence to all COVID19 health protocols.
Parliament passed the motion. The month of September has apparently been set aside as the month for thanksgiving in Botswana.
